Online harm is an online act that can harm someone physically or mentally. Lavis & Winter (2020) believed online harm might come from harmful online information. It is possible that online self-harm content “leads to self-harm and contributes to suicide”. Online harms are associated with depression, anxiety, self-harm and suicide, and self-harm is a major public health problem.
